Flight Services

Apart from ships that travel, there are flight services to the islands. Everyday a flight flies from Chennai to Port Blair. Indian Airlines and Jet Airways provide the facility for the passengers to travel. But only three flights a week fly from Chennai and Kolkata. The cost of the flight ticket between Chennai and Port Blair in Jet Airways is Rs. 7,820 and in Indian Airlines it cost Rs. 7,790. The flight fare between Kolkata and Port Blair in Indian Airlines is Rs. 8,435. Flight tickets are sold in Airlines offices and by travel agents. People who travel with their families could get some concession from the normal fare.
